Complaints

How to make an editorial, moderation, privacy, accessibility, advertising or service complaint to Daily Junction and what information helps us review it.

Last reviewed

You can challenge our reporting, moderation, advertising or service decisions. The route you choose matters because different issues need different evidence and different people.

This is Daily Junction's internal complaints process. It does not replace any legal, regulatory or emergency route available to you, and it does not pause an external deadline.

Choose the right route

Factual error or missing context

Use the correction form. Identify the exact article and passage, explain what is inaccurate, and provide a reliable source where possible. Our corrections policy and log explains when a change is recorded publicly.

Editorial complaint

Use feedback and suggestions and put “Editorial complaint” at the start of the subject. This route is suitable for concerns about fairness, sourcing, privacy in published material, conflicts of interest, headlines or a failure to follow our editorial policy.

Harmful content or behaviour

Use Report content or a safety issue. For immediate danger, contact emergency services instead of waiting for our review. See the Safety Centre.

Moderation decision

Open a support ticket with the page or thread, approximate time, display name and the decision you want reviewed. Explain why you believe the community guidelines were applied incorrectly.

Privacy or personal-data request

Follow the Privacy Requests guide. A request to access, correct or erase your own data is different from an editorial complaint, even when both concern the same article.

Accessibility barrier

Use content help and include the page, the task you could not complete, your browser or device and any assistive technology you were using. See our accessibility statement.

Advertising or advertiser account

Use the advertising desk for advertiser applications, the £5 application-processing step, placements, creative review or an account decision. Include the company name and advertiser account ID where available, but never send full payment-card details.

Technical or general service issue

Use help and support for a broken page, login problem, the arcade or the DJPlay app.

What to include

A clear complaint usually contains:

  • Your name or the display name connected with the issue.
  • A contact email, if you want email notification of a reply. Email is optional on the support form.
  • The URL, article title, ticket ID or advertiser account ID involved.
  • The date and approximate time.
  • The specific words, action or decision you dispute.
  • Why you believe it is wrong and the outcome you are asking for.
  • Relevant first-party documents or public sources, described without exposing unnecessary personal data.

Do not include passwords, access keys, full card details or identity documents unless we have explained why a particular item is necessary and how to provide it.

What happens next

We record the issue in the selected queue and assess it against the relevant policy and available evidence. We may ask for clarification, compare the complaint with source material or review moderation and account records.

Where you supply a working email address, it may be used to notify you about the ticket. Otherwise, save the private ticket link and return to it for updates. The ticket link contains an access key and should be treated like a password.

Possible outcomes include an explanation, a correction, a clarification, restored or restricted participation, no change, or referral to a more suitable route. A complaint does not guarantee the requested outcome. We do not promise a fixed response or resolution time on this page.

Material corrections to published journalism are recorded in the corrections log. Routine spelling, formatting or broken-link fixes may be made without a separate log entry.

If you remain dissatisfied

Reply on the same ticket with the part of the outcome you dispute and any new evidence. Keeping one thread gives the reviewer the full history.

If a matter is legal or corporate rather than editorial — for example, it concerns Daily Junction's publisher as a company rather than its journalism — you can contact Ventri Digital Systems directly.

For personal-data concerns, the UK Information Commissioner's Office provides public data-protection guidance and explains how to raise a concern. For a crime, immediate danger or another issue outside our role, use the appropriate official service.

This page does not claim that Daily Junction belongs to a press regulator or arbitration scheme. It describes our internal route only.
